Bring your rocks to the Chatham Historical Museum!

Sunday, May 7 will be a great day to visit the Chatham Historical Museum! "Rock Star" Chris Palmer, retired professional geologist, will be on hand to identify Chatham County rocks and answer questions about Chatham's geology. Bring your Chatham County rocks for him to identify and tell you about. Our Chatham Geology special exhibit is still up for you to explore as well. In the gallery, we have an exhibit of Frank Marsden London's paintings and stained glass designs, and from the balcony, we'll have music by Nelson Smith. Spend time exploring our permanent exhibits too! We hope to see you there! This is a free event. Adults and children are welcome. The Museum will be open from noon until 4pm.

Local on Lorax

The Plant at Lorax Lane 220 Lorax Lane, Pittsboro

You’re invited to join us in celebration of small family farms, culinary creativity, and visual and performing arts at "Local on Lorax: A Farm & Art Dinner" on Sunday, May 7, 5:30 pm. Enjoy ingredients from regional farms, dishes from local chefs, in one night under the stars with friends. A limited number of $125 tickets are NOW available. This special event will benefit the Welcome Center and has generated a lot of buzz so we do expect to sell out. Chatham County's agriculture and creative cultures define much of our lives here. Culinary artistry, visual and performing artistry and our appreciation for small family farms draw visitors who become neighbors. In recognition of these fundamental aspects of the good life we enjoy here, we're proud to present "Local on Lorax: A Farm & Art Dinner." All proceeds benefit the Welcome Center.
