A Note From The Owner Almost 10 years ago, Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast weakening the levees in New Orleans. We all know the history and stories that followed. I am a New Orleans native and have lived in Chatham County, NC for 25 years. All of my family lived in New Orleans when Katrina hit. They evacuated, as always, when a bad storm heads that direction. The N&O wrote an article about my family on Monday, September 5, 2005 in the City & State section. Since that time all have returned and some have passed on.
