Teachers, first responders, doctors, nurses, caregivers and military personnel, active duty and veterans, receive free admission with ID and one paid admission this weekend. Are you, your family and your friends ready to make some memories and have some fall fun, Huckleberry style? Fall Festival starts September 30 and runs every Saturday and Sunday through October 30. We are open from 10 to 6 on Saturday and 1 to 6 on Sunday. Our last ticket is sold one hour before closing. One admission price gives you access to all the fun. We sell our pumpkins, fall decorations, refreshments, and merchandise separately to keep our admission prices low. We have a corn maze, a real pumpkin patch (cut your own pumpkin right off the vine while they last!), a cotton patch, and lots of old-timey games and activities including a mini Field of Dreams. We sell pumpkins of all sizes as well as corn stalks, gourds, and hay bales. We are conveniently located on Hwy 64 between Pittsboro and Siler City, just 30 minutes from Cary, Apex, Chapel Hill, Durham, and Greensboro. It’s an easy drive over a shimmering lake and rushing river, through beautiful rolling country and past farmland complete with horses, cows, and red barns. Stop by the Chatham Historical Museum at 2 pm on First Sunday, November 5, to hear Victor Burns speak about the Steadman Family Cemetery. The family graves were recently moved from the site behind The Mod to the Pittsboro United Methodist Church cemetery.

You are invited to an Artist Reception on Sunday, February 4 from 1-3pm which is FREE and open to the public. Please join us in supporting six extremely talented young artists / Chatham County high school students. Pittsboro Gallery of Arts will host @chathamartistsguild (CAG) EMERGING ARTISTS exhibition February 3 thru 16, 2024. CAG’s Emerging Artists is a free, juried program which pairs individual young artists with a CAG mentor. For one full school year, mentors provide aspiring student artists with information and guidance on the business of being a professional artist. The program culminates with this special gallery exhibit at the Pittsboro Gallery of Arts in February and an Emerging Artists Tent at Pittsboro’s First Sunday on May 5, 2024. Our Emerging Artists and their CAG Mentors are: From Chatham Early College - 10th Graders Fabi Vasquez (mentor, Kristin Bergsten) and Kayle Maxfield (mentor @Jane Eckenrode ). From Seaforth High School - 12th Grader Lauren Winkler (mentor, Kathy Flood, Artist). From Northwood High School - 11th Grader, Savannah Stahoviak (mentor Current Works by Steevie Jane Parks ) and 12th Graders Rokia Sissoko (mentor, Donna Stubbs) and Ray Brock (mentor, Sarah Graham). We heartily congratulate all of these young artists and their CAG artist mentors.

We're gearing up for our inaugural First Sunday reception at Show of Hands Gallery on April 7 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm (the Gallery will be open from 12-4) and hope you'll join us. Our Featured Artist will be potter Colleen Black Semelka, an artist with decades of experience producing beautiful Raku pieces. Please come by to see her work and enjoy music and refreshments! The unique photographs of Bobby Izquierdo are also hanging in the Gallery from our Grand Opening Celebration and Bobby will be with us as well.
