Festivities culminate with the lighting of a 18-foot Christmas tree at the historic Chatham County Courthouse. Businesses are hosting special events all day. Pittsboro Christmas Parade Sunday, December 11, 3 p.m. Marching bands, dancers, holiday revelers, and Santa Claus parade through downtown in this annual tradition. Miracle on Hillsboro Street Saturday, December 17, 2 p.m. & 6 p.m. See the trial of the century on Saturday, December 17th at the historic Chatham County Courthouse, where Santa Claus is on trial. Enjoy audience participation, local actors and the real Kris Kringle! Come root for a Miracle on Hillsboro Street! Performances will be at 2pm & 6pm. Admission is a $5 donation to benefit Chatham County Partnership for Children, or give five non-perishable food items to benefit CORA Food Pantry. Children under 6 are free.
